Current Events: Hikers behind Iranian Jail cells for 2 years.

This week, my current events got deleted, or I didn't save, or some similar case, so I need to make it all over again because I just noticed it's not there and I can't get it back. Anyways my Current Events this week is about 2 prisoners who were in Iranian Prison for 2 years, and another one whom was released one year earlier.

"Sarah, Josh and I have experienced a taste of the Iranian regime's brutality. We have been held in almost total isolation from the world and everything we love, stripped of our rights and freedom," Bauer said.

Fattal, Bauer and Bauer's now-fiancee, Sarah Shourd, were arrested after straying across the unmarked border between Iraqi Kurdistan and Iran in July 2009. Shourd was released in 2010, but Bauer and Fattal were freed only Wednesday, after 781 days in captivity that Bauer said was based on "ridiculous lies."

Worse, Fattal said, "Many times -- too many times -- we heard the screams of other prisoners being beaten, and there was nothing we could do to help them."

In conclusion what i feel about this is that it isn't right to put them in such conditions where they had 15 minutes of calls home throughout the 2 years, etc. If i would have been put in such a situation I don't know what i would do, whereas they are grown ups and i am still young, so who am i to compare myself? All in all, i feel this article changed they way i think about the world, by making me think 'outside the box' or in this case, outside my environment.

Current Events: Floods in India

More flooding going around the globe. 26 people were found dead because of the flood in India. This flood had swamped 19 of Orissa's 30 districts just last week. There are still 12 people missing in the flood-hit state of Orissa. Thankfully, officials are saying that the "Situation is limping back to normal." In my opinion it is very sad that there are all these floods around the world, and how innocent people have to die because of natural things that are caused on this Earth.

Current Event: Mysterious Light in SouthWestern part of U.S.A.

Aliens? Meteors? Satellites? Noone knows for sure right now, but last night, on the 14th of September, 2011, a big light was seen in the skies of South Western U.S.A. Some of the witnesses who were between Phoenix, and L.A. and Las Vegas have described it as a fireball. The sighting of this mysterious light has very quickly been spotted at many media websites. "The 911 Call Center has been Receiving a flood of calls," an Arizona Police officer stated. "People are, indeed, reporting they saw a light head from west to east across the sky. We got reports from CHP and the FAA about callers seeing the light. It is reasonable to say that it may be a meteor," Curt Kaplan, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service told CNN.
